What can we help with?

Divorce, relationship breakdown and other family issues can be upsetting and stressful. Our family department are on hand to help you deal with a range of situations, including:

  • We can help negotiate all child arrangements following a divorce, such as the time children spend with each parent, where they go to school and the payment of any child maintenance.
  • We can also help assist any step-parent or grandparent to secure contact with a child.
  • If your former partner has taken your child away without your knowledge or consent, we can assist with the legal process to help your child to be returned.
  • If you or your former partner would like to move your child’s school or move home with your child to another area or even country then we can assist.
  • We can guide you through the legal process, of a divorce or civil partnership dissolution.  We will always aim to protect your interests and can help you to achieve a fair financial settlement.
  • If you are separated but are not yet ready or do not want to apply for a divorce, we can help draft a separation agreement.
  • We are passionate about helping people work through disputes that have arisen in their lives and if we are able to then we can offer mediation.
  • If you are unmarried and living together or planning to do so, we can draft a cohabitation agreement to protect you if your relationship breaks down.
  • If you’re planning to get married but want to agree beforehand how your financial assets would be split, we can draft a pre-nuptial agreement to record your wishes if you were to divorce.
