For your way forward - mediation

How often do we hear ourselves say ‘you only live once!’ and ‘life is too short for disagreement!’   This is precisely why our mediators are passionate about helping people work through disputes that have arisen in their lives.

What is mediation?

Mediation is a process that allows people to resolve disputes without going to Court. Our Mediators are skilled at helping people reach an agreement in order to help them move on with their lives without enduring prolonged stress and conflict.

What are the benefits of mediation?

  • Control: Unlike court proceedings, where decisions are imposed, mediation allows you to have a say in how the dispute is resolved.
  • Efficiency: Mediation is usually quicker and less expensive than going to court, enabling everyone to move forward sooner.
  • Supportive Environment: The mediator listens to all perspectives, guiding the process and ensuring a safe space for communication.
  • Confidentiality: Mediation keeps disputes private, unlike potentially public court proceedings.
  • Preserving Relationships: Mediation focuses on effective communication, helping maintain relationships even during disagreements.

All of our mediators are members of the Civil Mediation Council and Family Mediation Council who are the recognised bodies in the UK for accredited mediators. As such, we can offer mediation on the following:

Civil

Our mediators cover all areas of civil disputes, not limited to, but including:-

  • Workplace – between employer/employee or between colleagues;

  • Neighbour disputes;

  • Landlord and tenant disputes;
  • Inheritance disputes.

Family

  • Breakdown of relationships including practical arrangements following the separation;
  • Arrangements for children, for example, where they will live/spend their time between their parents;
  • Financial arrangements for both parties;
